The City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services is thrilled to announce the new Long Beach Health Hub at the 2024 Long Beach Pride Festival for a unique and holistic approach to health and wellness. Powered by a goal to centralize essential health services, this stigma-free zone will create a space where festival-goers can learn, engage and receive health related services, all in one convenient location.

This year, the Long Beach Health Hub will offer free STI screening for the first time at the festival. Available from 2 to 5 p.m., attendees can get tested for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and Hepatitis C. Additionally, we offer rapid HIV testing throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. We will also providing vaccinations for MPOX, COVID and the Flu, with gift card incentives for participants. Harm reduction resources will also be available, including NARCAN distribution and drug test strips, as well as drink test kits provided through our innovative Sip Safe program.

Beyond health services, the Long Beach Health Hub will feature interactive and educational activities. Snap a photo at our photo booth, spin the educational roulette wheel, enjoy classic lawn games and/or relax and unwind in our comfortable lounge area, which offers a shaded retreat.

By partnering with local organizations like Bienestar Human Services and CSULB's Center for Health Equity Research, the Long Beach Health Hub is excited to connect individuals with ongoing support and refer them to essential services, enhancing community health in an accessible and engaging manner. We invite festival attendees to stop by the hub for a day of health, education and fun!
