Public Hearing Notice: New Building Standards Code

The City of Long Beach will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber to consider adopting and amending the 2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code and related provisions of the Uniform Housing Code. The proposed updates include structural, fire and life safety, sustainability, stormwater, sea-level rise and administrative amendments, with changes taking effect Thursday, January 1, 2026.
