Property owners can now save time and money on accessory dwelling unit (ADU) projects with the City’s Pre-Approved Accessory Dwelling Unit Program, which gives property owners access to pre-approved plans. PAADU project plans along with contact information for design professionals are listed below. These plans are limited to single-story, freestanding ADUs of less than 1,200 sq. ft.
Property owners can work directly with the design professional of their choice to obtain construction documents for a fee negotiated by and between the design professional and the property owner. Subsequently, property owners can submit the site-specific PAADU plans to the Bureau at the City Hall 2nd floor Development Permit Center for an over-the-counter (OTC) review and permit issuance.
