The City of Long Beach is receiving federal grand funidng through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH) awared in the amount of $1,000,000.
The ESG RUSH grant is being awarded to address the needs of homeless individuals or families at risk of homelessness. HUD has given the flexibility to recipients to notify the public of the allocation and how it will be spent, online. The City of Long Beach intends on utilizing the funds for: Rapid Re-Housing in the amount of $505,000, Shelter in the amount of $300,000, Homeless Prevention in the amount of $100,000, Administration in the amount of $75,000 and Homeless Information Management System (HMIS) in the amount of $20,000.
