COVID-19 Relief Programs
As part of the City’s ongoing commitment to providing support and resources to businesses and residents critically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has launched a new COVID-19 Relief Payment Plan Program and has extended existing relief programs for businesses and residents.
Business License Tax and Fee Deferral
The City Council approved another extension for the Long Beach COVID-19 Business Tax and Fee Payment Deferral Program through June 30, 2021, which offers payment deferrals for business license taxes and health and fire fees for businesses critically impacted by COVID-19. Business owners can email lbbiz@longbeach.gov or call (562) 570-6211 for more information.
Street Sweeping Relief Program
The Street Sweeping Relief Program, which provides individuals in parking impacted areas the opportunity to receive free temporary parking permits for various City lots, has also been extended to June 30, 2021. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of free parking opportunities being offered by the City or find alternate solutions to park their vehicles during street sweeping days.
Details regarding the various City programs and services offered to those affected by the pandemic are available by calling the City’s Resource Line at (562) 570-INFO (4636), option 5. Resource Line operators are prepared to help assess eligibility when needed and provide program referrals to organizations across the city.
