SPECIAL EVENTS & FILMING

The Office of Special Events and Filming is the bureau within the City Manager Department responsible for permitting all Special Events and Film productions within Long Beach, California.

In addition, our office is responsible for the Pole Banner program, neighborhood block party permits, parades, and other events taking place in parks or on public property.

Visit Parking Services for information regarding a Temporary Oversized Vehicle or POD parking permit. Please note the Special Event office DOES NOT issue individual parking permits for occupying or reserving public street parking.

Any parking occupied in an official capacity by an Event will be under the umbrella of a Special Event or Filming Permit issued through our office and will be clearly defined on any temporary street parking signage.
