Rescue of Sex Crimes Victim in Long Beach on November 26, 2025

Release Date: 2025-12-17

On December 6, 2025, the LB Press Telegram published an article about the arrest of a Wilmington man accused of trafficking a 15-year-old girl for sexual purposes from Temecula to Los Angeles County. The article reported that the victim was found safely three days later in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Police Department has provided some additional details about this successful operation. Please note that this matter is still under investigation and so LBPD cannot provide in-depth information about the situation.

During the early evening of November 26, 2025, a detective assigned to the LBPD’s Societal Crimes Unit was contacted by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) regarding a missing 15-year-old juvenile. The RCSD reported that the victim may have been kidnapped for the purpose of prostitution. The RCSD had obtained a warrant for the victim’s phone and were able to determine that she was at a Long Beach
residence.

At the same time, RCSD contacted LBPD patrol units and asked them to respond to the Long Beach residence to which the victim had been located. LBPD patrol officers went to the residence finding both the minor victim and an adult male. LBPD officer took the victim to the North Division police station to await the arrival of RCSD detectives.

RCSD detectives interviewed the victim at the police station and determined she had been kidnapped within their jurisdiction but that all of the acts of prostitution occurred in Los Angeles County. RCSD also told LBPD detectives that the victim may have been sexually assaulted in Long Beach by the adult male found with her in the residence. This is not the same individual who was later arrested in Wilmington on charges of kidnapping.

LBPD transported the victim to the hospital at which LBPD detectives coordinated a (Sexual Assault Response Team) SART examination for the victim. LBPD detectives also applied for and obtained a warrant, pursuant to which they obtained a DNA sample from the adult male found in the Long Beach residence. The investigation of that individual is currently pending receipt of the laboratory results.
