Washington Neighborhood Community Center Project

Councilmember Zendejas invites the community to an informational meeting regarding the Washington Neighborhood Community Center project. This meeting, open to all, will provide updates on the center's development and planned initiatives. It will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cesar E. Chavez Park Community Center (401 Golden Ave.), with Spanish interpretation services available.
This project, secured with $250,000 in funding by Congressman Robert Garcia, aims to establish a comprehensive Youth Center. The center will serve as a vital resource, offering programs focused on prevention, intervention, education, recreation, and mental health support for the youth of the Washington Neighborhood.
