Long Beach Council Takes On Short-Term Home Rentals
Long Beach's City Council wants to find out how short-term rentals like Airbnb are impacting the city, and how the city could regulate them. Second District Councilwoman Jeannine Pearce said that she began wondering about the popular short-term rental business in the context of the city's very tight housing market.
Under the Sea: Free Family Education Night at the Aquarium!
On January 19th, my office will be hosting a FREE family education night at the Aquarium. In addition to all the amazing marine life that will be on display, there will be educational programming on climate resiliency and sustainability.

I will be co-hosting with Councilwoman Suzie Price an informational community meeting regarding the proposed development at 3rd and Redondo on Thursday, January 26th at 5:30pm at Mann Elementary School Auditorium.

As of August 2, 2016 Jeannine Pearce has raised recognition in the request for City Hall to raise the Pride flag every day until there is gender equity for the LGBT community nationwide. With this substantial victory, join us to raise our Pride flag on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 8:30am at City Hall.
