The Arts Council for Long Beach recently added an exciting new opportunity to its roster of grant-giving: the Risk and Innovation Grant. The $5,000 grant provides an opportunity to bring innovation to our communities through arts-based problem solving. It also offers support to artists for experimental, career-advancing growth. Long Beach-based artists using any medium — whether it’s music, sound, visual arts, dance or another expression — are eligible to apply.
The Arts Council for Long Beach is now accepting applications from upper division and graduate level California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) College of the Arts students for the position of Marketing Intern for the 2016 spring semester. The intern will work as an integral part of the organization’s marketing team as the Arts Council seeks to build its marketing capacity for the whole arts and cultural community of Long Beach.
Volunteers are needed for Operation Cerberus, a four day full scale exercise that will provide the City of Long Beach with an opportunity to practice citywide response to a simulated biological incident.
