|  The Ninth District has been awarded a $61,500 grant from the U.S. Soccer Foundation to convert two tennis courts to two futsal courts at DeForest Park, 6255 De Forest Ave. Futsal is a fast-growing, fast-paced variant of soccer.

|  More than 80 residents attended last weekend's North Long Beach Community Assembly, where they were presented in information on the new North Branch Library. LPA, the architects of the library spoke in detail of what to expect of this state of the art community building.

|  Councilmember Neal and the Department of Public Works have just taken major steps to improve the condition of our local infrastructure. Just recently, we completed our annual street and sidewalk program.
