This week, we kick off "Ninth District Spring Cleaning" in the month of May!

Now that the April Showers are over, we want to clean up our district in preparation for May flowers. During the month of May, we are inviting ALL Ninth District residents to participate in cleaning up our community. This means reporting all instances of potholes, graffiti, dumped items, and damaged street signs to our office in order to keep our district tidy.

We are also hosting numerous neighborhood clean-up events in the month of May, where residents can volunteer and clean up our community! So pitch in for "Ninth District Spring Cleaning!" For more information on how to get involved, see the flyer below.

On another note, I would like to extend congratulations to my Chief of Staff, Rex Richardson on his recent engagement to Ms. Nina Nieves. Rex is a Ninth District resident in the Coolidge Triangle neighborhood. Congratulations and best wishes to them both.

I also want to recognize our District Communications Organizer, Floyd Hampton Livingston, and Chief of Staff Rex Richardson on their recent recognition at Long Beach Post's "40 Under 40" Awards, recognizing a generation of young leaders making change in the City of Long Beach. We are fortunate to have such a young and dynamic staff here in the Ninth District!

Thank you and let's get to work!
