Free Internet Services and Computing Devices Program
The Technology and Innovation Department (TI) in partnership with human-I-T ,the Long Beach Public Library (LBPL) and other community partners launched the Free Internet Services and Computing Devices Program (Program) to help connect Long Beach residents to free digital inclusion resources as part of the City’s CARES Act funding efforts.
To qualify for this Program, applicants needed to have proof of low-income eligibility and live currently in Long Beach.
Collectively, over 1,100 hotspots and 1,600 computers are being distributed to households most in need of Internet and computer access during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that applications are no longer being accepted for this Program.
