The applicant understands the regulations regarding the use of the Temporary Occupancy Permit.
The applicant agrees that the permit(s) applied for shall be paid for in a timely manner and may not be sold or transferred in any manner. Failure to pay for the Temporary Occupancy Permit Application for a Storage/Dumpster Bin Permit in a timely manner may delay permit issuance. The sale or transfer of a permit is in violation of Long Beach Municipal Code (LBMC) 14.08.120. Any misuse of a permit is grounds for revocation. Failure to obtain a permit prior to occupancy will result in a penalty, doubling the fee to obtain a permit (LBMC 14.08.070 and LBMC 14.08.040).*
In the event a Temporary Occupancy Permit Application for a Storage/Dumpster Bin needs to be cancelled, the applicant is required to send a Notice of Cancellation e-mail to Public Works at PW-Privatedevelopment@longbeach.gov.*
Approved City of Long Beach Vendors* The company providing the dumpster and/or storage bin must be an approved City vendor.

Additional Comments and Parking Meter Information**If bin occupies a parking meter stall, provide the meter ID and rate.
Conditions* If any of the conditions listed below do not meet the standard criteria, the permit request may need further evaluation and a Public Works staff will contact you for further assistance.
Standard Conditions* The bin is required to be placed directly adjacent to the permitted property, as close to the curb as possible. The bin must not be placed in areas that have red and blue curb markings nor be placed in front of a driveway. The bin must not be placed in alleys where safe vehicular travel would be restricted or reduced.
The applicant agrees to abide by LBMC 10.22.120 – Temporary Parking Restrictions. Under LBMC 10.22.120, the posting of No Parking Signs must occur 24 hours prior to the delivery of the storage or dumpster bin. If No Parking Signs are not posted within the 24-hour time requirement, the No Parking Areas may not be legally enforceable. Additionally, No Parking Signs shall follow the posting guidelines for storage or dumpster bins.
