Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP)
Best Management Practices (BMP) : Any program, technology, process siting criteria, operational methods, or engineered systems which, when implemented, prevents, controls, removes or reduces pollution.
The City of Long Beach is required to inspect qualifying commercial facilities (generally consisting of automotive repair facilities, food service establishments, and gardening and landscaping businesses) at a frequency of every two years. Inspections are to confirm that stormwater and non-stormwater BMPs are being effectively implemented in compliance with municipal ordinances.
