Latest Updates
July 2025
The Department of Public Works has completed concrete and pavement rehabilitation throughout the Marina Green Parking Lot. The team addressed trip hazards, potholes and other significant root damage throughout the parking lot, and the area has been resurfaced and restriped. Concrete work involved improvements to site accessibility through the addition of new sidewalks and ADA curb ramps. Crews are currently on site finishing improvements to the existing irrigation system and creating new landscape and planting areas, with work scheduled to finish in July. As construction wraps up, users can expect the following:
- Parking lot will remain open during construction
- Directional signage will be placed for temporary exit and entry restrictions
- Overnight parking will remain available
Given the long-lead procurement for electrical components, the City reviewed opportunities to improve the design to feature additional chargers and those with faster charging capability. New EV chargers are planned to be installed in late 2026 pending final approvals and procurement.
We are excited to complete rehabilitation of this valuable waterfront amenity and improve coastal for all users. Below are photos of the recently completed improvements.
