Admiral Kidd Park and Facilities Improvement Project

Admiral Kidd Park and Facilities Improvement Project

Background

Admiral Kidd Park, located in West Long Beach and bounded by Hill Street, Santa Fe Avenue, Willard Street, and Cabrillo High School, has served as a central gathering place in the community, offering green space, play areas, and community amenities.

Following the recent upgrades to the Admiral Kidd Playground, the City is moving into the next phase of improvements, which will focus on enhancing both the park’s outdoor landscaping and its community center. These updates are designed to improve the park’s overall condition and functionality, addressing areas most in need of enhancement while ensuring the space remains safe, accessible, and welcoming. Together, these efforts build on the park’s legacy as an essential community resource and help ensure it continues to meet the evolving needs of residents for years to come.

This project is part of the Elevate ’28 Infrastructure Investment Plan, a historic initiative dedicated to enhancing Long Beach parks, community facilities, mobility access, and streets. Learn more at lbelevate28.com.
