2nd Street Improvement Project

The 2nd Street Improvement Project will be taking place on 2nd Street between Marine Drive and the Long Beach/Seal Beach City limit. The Project includes repaving and restriping of 2nd Street between PCH and Studebaker, and slurry seal and restriping throughout the remainder of the Project area. Also included is installation of a striped bike lane between Marina Drive and the eastern City limit, removal and replacement of existing medians, and pedestrian safety improvements such as new curb ramps and enhanced crosswalks. Estimated completion is May 2019 (weather permitting).
