Don’t miss the Wrigley Greenbelt Community Meeting!

The City of Long Beach Public Works Department invites the community to learn about and discuss the Wrigley Greenbelt Project on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
 
This grant-funded community project aims to provide more green space to Long Beach’s Westside  along the I-710 Freeway. This project will improve air quality, enhance outdoor recreational experience, create better pedestrian connectivity, and provide ADA accessibility.  Construction is scheduled to resume November 2021. Work is set to include 

  • Walking trail throughout Greenbelt 
  • New landscaping consisting of drought resistant native plants
  • New irrigation system
  • Dry stream beds to improve stormwater runoff  
  • Added park amenities to include benches, picnic tables, and water fountains
