Willow Street Improvements
Release Date: 2021-08-30
Street improvements are coming to Willow Street between San Vicente Avenue and Studebaker Road starting September 2021. This project is funded by Measure A and will extend the useful life of the streets and sidewalks.
The project includes:
- Removing existing pavement,
- Resurfacing the roadway,
- Sidewalk replacement,
- New curb/gutters,
- ADA compliant curb ramps,
- Public transportation and micro-mobility improvements, and
- Other appurtenant work.
Parking may be impacted, but efforts will be made to maintain as much parking as possible. Intermittent intersection closures will be necessary to complete this project; alternate routes during work hours are encouraged. Residents are also encouraged to reduce water runoff from driveways and lawn irrigation into the street before or during construction activities.
The goal of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvement program is to provide safer and greater access for pedestrians with mobility disabilities. To learn more about this program, please visit longbeach.gov/citymanager/ada.
