Open Streets in Bixby Knolls

To support COVID-19 recovery, the City of Long Beach is providing parklets & sidewalk space to provide physically-distanced options for restaurants and other select businesses in the public right-of-way.
Beginning the week of November 9, 2020, northbound and southbound traffic will be limited to one travel lane on Atlantic Avenue between East Claiborne Drive and East Armando Drive.
The east side of Atlantic Avenue will utilize sidewalks to expand business space. West side of Atlantic Avenue will feature angled parking to increase parking by 25%. Businesses may apply to use parking lots to expand their business space. This temporary street modification is expected to continue through the end of the year.
