Long Beach Leaf Season Best Practices
Release Date: 2020-11-09
The fall leaf season is upon us and we wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone of leaf cleanup best practices to keep Long Beach clean!
Keeping our city clean is a community effort and we rely on one another to do their part to keep our neighborhoods free of debris and our storm drain system clear. Please do not rake or blow leaves or lawn clippings into the street or gutter, these materials are too large for street sweepers to collect. Instead, properly dispose of them by sweeping them up and placing into your refuse bin. Leaves are also great for composting!
By keeping your street and gutters leaf free, you are preventing unwanted debris from entering our storm drain system and polluting our waterways.
