Emergency Shelter Improvements Project

The City’s Contractor, Goodmen Roofing Construction, is scheduled to start construction on phase 1 of the project in Spring 2024, with a scheduled completion, barring weather and other unforeseen delays, by July 2024.

The contractor is scheduled to perform work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Efforts will be made to minimize inconveniences to ongoing programs at the shelter.

Phase 1: Roof Repairs – The upper roof will receive minor repairs and the lower roof’s membrane will be replaced.

Phase 2: Building Improvements – Interior improvements include new offices, restrooms, showers, and a kitchen as well as new electrical and HVAC systems with newly insulated walls. Exterior improvements to the building include a pet run area, outdoor seating, exterior lighting, and updated parking with ADA access.
