Construction Beginning for Recreation Park Playground

Construction for the new Recreation Park Playground is scheduled to being in late-October 2021, and, weather dependent, completed by March 2022. Just in time for warmer Spring day’s in Long Beach, this project will bring a new play area to the park. Work is scheduled to include:

• New play equipment
• Upgraded seating area with new furniture installed
• Creating separate, age-appropriate play structures
• ADA accessibility improvements

Work performed for this project will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking impacts for park and residence patrons are not expected. Efforts will be made to minimize inconveniences and construction activities during scheduled park activities.
