Parks, Recreation and Marine’s Mobile Recess Program for Youth Postponed, El Dorado Nature Center Trails to Reopen Later This Week Due to Weather Conditions

Due to inclement weather today, Dec. 14, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine’s (PRM) Mobile Recess Program for youth will not take place as scheduled. This affects the Tuesday programs offered at both Rose Park and on 17th Street between Henderson Avenue and Chestnut AvenueRegistered program participants will be notified by telephone. El Dorado Nature Center trails will not open today and will reopen later this week after rain eventThe Belmont Pool will remain open unless a threat of lightning is determined. 

Recreational swimming areas at local beaches should also be avoided for three days following a rainstorm, as specified in the City Health Officer’s rain advisory.
