Long Beach, CA – Long Beach Public Library (LBPL)’s Mark Twain Neighborhood Library (1401 E. Anaheim St.) is temporarily operating under the “To-Go” model of service effective now through, at minimum, the end of July. This transition is necessary to address ongoing staffing shortages the LBPL system continues to face at many of its branches, as well as unwanted behavior taking place inside and outside the facility, in order to effectively conduct library business and provide a positive and inspiring environment for all who entered the doors and best serve the local community.
The To-Go model of service allows patrons to place holds and pick up print and audiovisual resources such as books, DVDs and Chromebooks. Patrons may also apply for and pick up new library cards. To-Go service does not currently offer book browsing, public computers or printing, restroom use or meeting room rentals.
Mark Twain Neighborhood Library is accessible by phone (562.570.1046) and for item pick up during regular Library hours:
Library funding is not being reduced. More information about LBPL hours and locations is available at lbpl.org.
