Long Beach, CA - Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) will offer Summer Aquatics and Park Day Camps from June 16 through August 22, 2025. Registration begins Saturday, April 12 at 9 a.m., online at LBParks.org.  

Summer Park Camps
Youth ages 5 to 12 will enjoy games, crafts, physical fitness, enrichment activities and more. Summer Park Camps will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for those enrolled in extended care. The weekly cost is $115 for regular day and $150 for extended care.

The Summer Park Day Camps will take place at the following sites: 

  • Bixby Park, 130 Cherry Ave.
  • El Dorado Park West, 2800 N. Studebaker Rd.
  • Pan American Park, 5157 Centralia St.
  • Silverado Park, 1545 W. 31st St.
  • Stearns Champions Park, 4520 E. 23rd St.
  • Veterans Park, 101 E. 28th St.
  • Wardlow Park, 3457 Stanbridge Ave.
  • Whaley Park, 5620 E. Atherton St.

Aquatics Day Camps
PRM will also offer two aquatics day camps for youth this summer. The Belmont Junior Beach Camp, for ages 5 to 7, located at Belmont Plaza Pool (4320 E. Olympic Plaza), will feature games, crafts, beach play, songs, excursions, kayaking, canoeing and American Red Cross swimming lessons. Campers at Bayshore Beach Camp, for ages 8 to 12, located at Bayshore Park (5415 E. Ocean Blvd.), will enjoy the same activities as the Belmont Junior Beach Camp in addition to marine biology lessons. The weekly cost for both aquatics camps is $165 for regular day; extended care fees are $28 for a.m. (7 to 9 a.m.) or p.m. (4 to 6 p.m.), or $56 for both a.m. and p.m. extended care.

The online portal can be accessed through a personal home computer or smartphone, or at designated City self-serve enrollment locations. On April 12 from 9 a.m. to noon, PRM staff will be onsite with internet capable devices for families to self-register at the locations listed below. Staff will be available to assist with registration questions, but customers will be responsible for self-enrollment. These locations will open at 8 a.m. and registration for all customers, both online and self-serve enrollment, will begin at 9 a.m. at LBParks.org.

  • Bixby Park (130 Cherry Ave.)

  • Silverado Park (1545 W. 31st St.)
  • Veterans Park (101 E. 28th St.)
  • Whaley Park (5620 E. Atherton St.)

Additionally, community members can visit any open Long Beach Public Library location to register at one of the available public computer labs. Open days and times may vary per library location, so the community is encouraged to check hours of operation before visiting.
