Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Departments of Parks, Recreation and Marine and Public Works invite the public to attend a community meeting to hear updates about the development of the new Long Beach Senior Center, to be located at 125 Elm Ave. The community meeting will take place Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the current Long Beach Senior Center location, 1150 E. 4th St.
At the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to review community feedback results from the recently conducted community survey and learn how the feedback will be incorporated into the Center’s design phase. A question-and-answer period will follow as well as opportunities to provide more feedback.
Printed fliers promoting the meeting are available in English, Spanish, Khmer and Tagalog at Long Beach Senior Centers and available on longbeach.gov/seniorcenterat125elm.
The Long Beach Senior Center will move from its existing location at 1150 E. 4th St. to 125 Elm Ave. and will occupy the entire ground floor of the building. Measuring 44,514 square feet, the new facility will offer social and recreational programs, health and wellness activities, meals and nutrition, cultural enrichment, community and support networks, and access services and information.
