LONG BEACH, CA — At a luncheon today, hosted by the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Rex Richardson announced the appointment of Lucius Martin to the position of Deputy Mayor of Economic Development. Martin will oversee the Mayor’s Grow Long Beach Initiative, which focuses on boosting growth in 5 key sectors: aerospace, goods movement, tourism, education, and healthcare. The new position will also serve as an important liaison for the business community—the first of its kind in the Mayor’s office.
