On Nov. 10, 2021, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) responded to a report of a body found floating in the water near the 1000 block of Queens Way Drive.
Upon arrival, officers determined the body was located floating near the water’s edge and a group of citizens pulled the decomposing body from the water. LBPD Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident as an undetermined death.
At this time, the victim is only being identified as a female adult, pending identification and notification to next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Detectives are actively investigating all leads and are working to gather additional information.
