On June 24, 2021, at approximately 12:49 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of E. Peace Street regarding a violent robbery.
When officers arrived on scene, they contacted an female adult victim who stated she was walking down the street when two female suspects attacked her and attempted to take her purse. During the incident, the two suspects took the victim’s wallet and the victim sustained minor injuries. Both suspects immediately fled the area on foot.
Through video evidence and the assistance of the public, Robbery detectives were able to identify both suspects responsible for this incident.
On June 28, 2021, officers located and arrested a 16-year-old female resident of Long Beach who was booked for one count of robbery and was transported to Juvenile Hall.
On July 1, 2021, the second juvenile suspect involved in the robbery—a 15-year-old female resident of Long Beach, turned herself in at the Public Safety Building. She was booked with one count of robbery and was transported to Juvenile Hall.
