A human trafficking investigation has led to the recovery of a female juvenile and the arrest of an adult suspect.
On September 24, 2020, Vice detectives arrested Tyler Rosbor, 23-year-old resident of Browns Summit, North Carolina for one count of human trafficking of a minor and one count of pimping in relation to an adult female. Rosbor was held on $175,000 bail and is due to return to court on October 23, 2020 for arraignment.
The events began earlier that day, on September 24, 2020, when Vice detectives received information that a 13-year-old female juvenile was being trafficked in the Los Angeles area. Vice detectives arranged to meet the female juvenile at a location in the City of Long Beach where detectives later recovered the victim and arrested the suspect.
Over the course of the investigation, detectives determined Rosbor arrived in California in September 2020 and soon after began pimping a female adult, who introduced him to the juvenile victim. Detectives learned the juvenile victim had previously been forced to perform prostitution acts for two initial traffickers in Merced County, which is being investigated by the Merced County District Attorney’s Office.
The juvenile victim was reunited with a relative and provided victim-centered services through the Los Angeles County First Responder Protocol for Sexually Exploited Children.
