ORIGINAL NEWS RELEASE ISSUED ON 10/31/18:

On October 30, 2018 at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department were dispatched to the 5200 block of Greenmeadow Road regarding an indecent exposure call.

The calling party stated their juvenile daughter was walking home when an adult male in a vehicle exposed himself to her.  The 13-year-old female victim stated that at approximately 4:16 p.m., in the area of Charlemagne Avenue and Village Road, the suspect approached her in his vehicle, exposed himself while making sexual comments to her and then drove away.

The suspect is being described as a 5’8” to 6’0” tall male white, weighing approximately 170 to 200 pounds, 19-25 years old with dark brown hair and a “buzz” haircut. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue T-shirt and gray pants.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as an older model two door white sedan with black rims.

Although detectives believe this is an isolated incident, events such as Halloween generate a lot of juvenile foot traffic and the Long Beach Police department would like to remind the community of the following:

  • Children out Trick-or-Treating should be accompanied by a parent/guardian
  • Pay attention to your surroundings at all times
  • Only visit homes that are well-lighted and never go into a stranger’s house
  • Stay in well populated areas and never cut through alleys or parks after dark
  • If you "See Something, Say Something" and report any suspicious or illegal activity by calling 9-1-1 immediately

Anyone who has information regarding the suspect or vehicle is urged to contact Long Beach Police Sex Crimes Detectives at (562) 570-7368. Anonymous tips may be submitted through “LA Crime Stoppers” by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), downloading the “P3 Tips” app to your smart phone (available at the Apple App store and Google Play), or visiting www.lacrimestoppers.org.
