Update 6/11/21 at 7:00 p.m.:

On June 11, 2021, detectives arrested a suspect for a hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred on June 10, 2021 on Long Beach Boulevard and 67th Street, which resulted in the injury of a male infant.

Through the combined efforts of numerous detectives, the suspect vehicle involved in the incident was located and recovered the night of June 10, 2021 in the Lindbergh Neighborhood of Long Beach. 

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 62-year-old Burnett Livingston, resident of Compton. He was arrested on June 11, 2021 and was booked for felony hit-and-run. He was held on zero-dollar bail.

Detectives from the Long Beach Police Department’s Collision Investigation Detail are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of an early-'90s model white Ford Explorer who is believed to be involved in a hit-and-run injury traffic collision on Long Beach Boulevard and 67th Street, which resulted in the injury of a male infant.

The incident occurred on June 10, 2021, at approximately 11:29 a.m. and resulted in the infant being struck by the white Ford Explorer, while the infant was being pushed in a stroller by his mother. Responding officers transported the 7-month-old infant and his mother to a local hospital. The infant had non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition. The mother was uninjured, and no other injuries were reported.
