Homicide detectives have identified and booked a suspect responsible for the February 15th murder of a male adult.
On Feb. 16, 2024, detectives located the suspect in the area of Frontenac Court and Nardo Way, who was subsequently arrested and transported to Long Beach City Jail for booking. The suspect has been identified as Anthony Sean Blake, a 38-year-old person experiencing homelessness in Long Beach. He was booked on one count of murder and his bail is set at $2,000,000.
The motive for the murder remains under investigation. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office next week for filing consideration.

Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a male adult that occurred on Feb. 15, 2024 in the 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard.
At approximately 4:37 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard to assist the Long Beach Fire Department with a male adult in need of medical attention.
Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim suffering from stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel determined the victim deceased at the scene.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
Homicide detectives responded to investigate the incident. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was possibly involved in a dispute or altercation with a suspect(s).
Detectives are asking for the community’s help in gathering additional information. If anyone observed any altercations or were involved in any altercations in the area of the 1300 block of Long Beach Boulevard in the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, please contact Homicide Detectives.
The motive for the stabbing and circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.
At this time, the victim is only being identified as a 35-year-old male. The Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner will work to identify the victim and notify the next of kin.
