Homicide detectives are investigating a murder that occurred on May 11, 2024, in the area of Paramount Boulevard and 57th Street, which resulted in the death of a female adult.
At approximately 10:07 p.m., officers responded to the area of Paramount Boulevard and 57th Street regarding a report of multiple gunshots and a possible suspect vehicle fleeing the scene.
Officers responded to the area and located a female adult victim on the sidewalk, near the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and 57th Street. The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds to her upper and lower body. Officers rendered medical aid and attempted life-saving measures until being relieved by Long Beach Fire Department personnel. The victim was determined deceased at the scene.
The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle prior to officers arriving on scene.
The motive for the shooting and circumstances are still under investigation.
The victim has been identified as Brooklyn Mack, a 20-year-old female resident of the city of Long Beach.
