Original News Release 02/03/2022
On Feb. 2, 2022, at approximately 6:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots near Atlantic Avenue and Esther Street, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim unresponsive in the roadway and lying next to his parked vehicle. Officers began rendering life-saving measures until paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived and transported him to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
