The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of a man.

On August 6, 2021, at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of East Anaheim Street, which later resulted in the death of a male adult.

Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim in the parking lot of a closed business suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers performed life-saving measures until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Ines Rosales, a 38-year-old male Long Beach resident.

At this time in the investigation, the circumstances leading up to the shooting, the motive, and suspect information are unknown; however, it does not appear to be a random act of violence. The incident remains under investigation by Homicide Detectives.
