On Sunday, September 13, 2015, at approximately 9:37 a.m., Long Beach Police responded to the 300 block of E. 67th Street to assist the Long Beach Fire Department who was on scene with a deceased male. Paramedics had responded to that location to assist a male down in the alley. They pronounced the subject deceased at the scene and noticed suspicious circumstances.
Homicide detectives and an investigator from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office responded and determined the subject suffered injuries from being struck by gunfire.
The victim is described as a young male adult. We are withholding the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin. The motive for this crime is unknown.
