The community is invited to come out and enjoy the Long Beach Police Department’s (LBPD) free inaugural Forensic Safety and Recruitment Fair.

1305 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach.
In recognition of the important role forensic science plays in the investigation of crimes throughout the nation, the Annual National Forensic Science Week was created to recognize the tremendous work forensic science and professionals do every day. This year, September 16-22 is recognized as the Fifth Annual National Forensic Science Week.
Learn about career opportunities with the LBPD, including Police Recruit, Public Safety Dispatcher (9-1-1 operators), and positions in the field of Forensics. Information on the Police Department's volunteer programs will also be available.
Attendees will be able to learn about controlled substances and evidence control, meet our firearms unit, S.W.A.T, Dive Team, and participate in our games and activities. We will also feature a children’s fingerprinting booth and free food provided by the Long Beach Police Officers Association.
