Violent Crimes detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for a Jan. 30, 2022 stabbing of a female adult.

On Jan. 30, 2022, at approximately 11:50 a.m., officers responded to a business located at 919 East Broadway regarding a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a female adult victim suffering from stab wounds to the upper body.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was working inside the business when a male adult suspect entered and initiated an altercation that escalated to the stabbing. The suspect fled the scene on foot towards an unknown direction prior to officers’ arrival. The Long Beach Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for her injuries.

Detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect from security footage and video from the incident to seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Suspect is described as follows:

Gender: Male
Race: Black
Height: Approx. 6'2"
Weight: 200 lbs.
Hair: Bald
Eyes: Brown
Clothing: Last seen wearing a red Adidas tracksuit top
