Update 3/12/22 at 8:30 p.m.:
On March 12, 2022, at-risk missing person Yay Cheas was located unharmed in the City of Long Beach by a Good Samaritan who then notified LBPD. She has been reunited with family.

Original News Release 3/12/22 at 6:45 p.m.:
The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a 76-year-old at-risk missing person, Yay Cheas, who was last seen on March 12, 2022 at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Cheas was visiting family in the 1000 block of Olive Avenue when she walked away and out of sight. Family immediately began looking for her. Cheas lives in the 1200 block of East 68th Street. Her destination is unknown.  

Missing person Yay Cheas has an intellectual disability and may become disoriented.

At-risk missing person Yay Cheas is described as follows:

Age: 76-years-old
Gender: Female
Race: Asian
Height: 4'8"
Weight: 120
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Brown
Clothing: light brown blazer jacket, black pants, black French style hat, pink tennis shoes
Jewelry: none
Scars/Marks/Tattoos: missing top four front teeth
Medical Alerts: Has an intellectual disability and may become disoriented
