Update 05/29/21 at 5:30 p.m.

Today the Long Beach Police Department was notified that John Morris Popoff was located by a family member in the City of Paramount at approximately 5:00 p.m. He was unharmed and reunited with his family.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 65-year-old at risk missing person John Morris Popoff, who was last seen on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 5:30 a.m.

John was last seen in the 1900 block of Cameron Street, Long Beach, CA. He went for a run and did not return. He is visiting from out of town and is not familiar with the area. He suffers from medical conditions and may become disoriented. He does not know local addresses or phone numbers, but will talk to others and may request help.


The at risk missing person is described as follows:


Age: 65-years-old

Gender: Male

Race: White

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 140-160 lbs

Hair: Grey hair

Eyes: Brown eyes, wears glasses

Clothing: Blue, “Retired navy” hat, grey, “USA” T-shirt, grey sweater, black shorts, knee high white socks, orange/black shoes

Jewelry: None

Scars/Marks/Tattoos: None

Visible Dental Work: None

Medical Alerts: Suffers from medical conditions and may get disoriented
