Update 8/5/2023 at 5:45 p.m.:

On August 5, 2023, at approximately 5:32 p.m., missing person Caroll Ritel was located safe and unharmed at the intersection of 1st Street and Pacific Avenue, by LBPD patrol officers. She has been reunited with her family.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a 74-year-old at-risk missing person, Caroll Louise Ritel, who was last seen on August 5, 2023, at approximately at 1:00 a.m.

Ritel was last seen in her residence located at the 200 block of Pacific Avenue. Ritel is believed to be on foot. Ritel suffers from mental condition(s) and she may become disoriented and forgetful.

At-risk missing person Caroll Ritel is described as follows:

Age: 74-years-old
Gender: Female
Race: Black
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 100 lbs
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Brown
Clothing: Orange sun dress, cheetah print robe, wearing an orange shoe and a pink shoe, and a black backpack
Scars/ Marks/ Tattoos: None
Medical Alerts: Suffers from medical conditions and may become disoriented
