On May 3, 2026 at-risk missing person Joe McGiffert was located safe and unharmed in the City of Pico Rivera.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 92-year-old at-risk missing person Joe McGiffert.
On May 2, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., it was discovered that McGiffert left his residence on foot from the 300 block of Pacific Avenue. He has no cell phone or other means of tracking. He has medical condition(s) and may become disoriented.

Age: 32
Hair Color: Gray
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 120 lbs
Gender: Male
Race: Black
Clothing: Black jacket, black jeans, black shoes, and "Laker" lanyard with keys.
