Long Beach Police arrested a man in connection with a murder that occurred last month.
On October 25, 2015, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Long Beach Police responded to the 1000 block of Maine Avenue regarding a stabbing which resulted in the death of 22-year-old Jesus Pimentel of Long Beach.
On November 9, 2015, Long Beach Police arrested Elmer Leonardo Orellana, 30-years-old and a resident of Long Beach. Orellana was in custody on an unrelated charge at the time of the arrest.
Today, detectives presented their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office who charged Orellana with the murder of Jesus Pimentel. Orellana is being held in Long Beach City Jail on $1,080,000 bail.
