Long Beach Police Robbery and Career Criminal Apprehension Team (CCAT) detectives arrested a suspect for his role in multiple West Division auto burglaries.

Between July 9 through July 19, 2014, multiple auto burglaries were reported in an apartment parking structure in the 400 block of West Broadway. On July 21, 2014, a residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of Magnolia Avenue in which the homeowner was assaulted. While West Division patrol officers conducted their investigation, they recovered evidence related to the earlier auto burglaries. Detectives responded to interview witnesses and victims, and recovered additional evidence.

On August 5, 2014, detectives arrested 24-year-old Michael Williams Jr. of Long Beach for his involvement in the residential and auto burglaries. Williams is on probation for burglary from a prior incident and remains in custody.

On August 6, 2014, in furtherance of their investigation, detectives served a search warrant in the 400 block of West 5th Street and arrested 26-year-old Altreon Capone Jordan of Long Beach for an unrelated outstanding 2010 murder warrant issued by the Sacramento Police Department. Jordan has been transferred to Sacramento Police Department’s custody.

On August 7, 2014, detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office who filed 12 counts of burglary, one count of assault with serious injury, and one count of theft of a firearm against Williams. His bail was set at $5,000,000.

Detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims and/or witnesses to these crimes.
