On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at approximately 6:16 p.m., Long Beach Police were dispatched to a local hospital to contact a possible shooting victim. Arriving officers learned the adult male victim had been stabbed and was transported to the hospital by his girlfriend.
The victim, identified as 21-year-old Aaron Flores of Long Beach, succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Homicide detectives responded to begin their investigation. They determined the victim’s girlfriend was responsible for his death following a domestic dispute at their residence, in the 1800 block of East Hardwick Street. Detectives arrested 32-year-old Yvonne Marie Pina of Long Beach, for murder. She is being held in Long Beach City Jail with bail set at $2,000,000.00.
Detectives will present the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration on March 4, 2016.
