On Saturday, June 28, 2014, the Long Beach Police Department's Vice Investigations Section, in cooperation with investigators from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), conducted an "ABC IMPACT Inspection" operation throughout the City of Long Beach.
“ABC IMPACT Inspection” operations target ABC licensed establishments who sell alcohol, such as restaurants, bars, liquor stores, convenience stores, and grocery stores. The purpose of the inspections is to assess the business' compliance with current ABC laws and educate them regarding any non-compliance issues.
During the course of the operation, 26 establishments were visited and inspected with only one (1) citation being issued for non-compliance.
The Long Beach Police Department was pleased to see the majority of establishments in compliance with ABC laws. The L.B.P.D. will continue to enforce ABC laws at all establishments throughout the city.
Anyone wishing to report illegal behavior relating to the unlawful sale of alcohol or ABC law violations should contact the Vice Investigations Section at (562) 570-7219.
