LBPD Recovers Stolen Puppies

Release Date: 2022-11-08

On Nov. 3, 2022, officers responded to the 1200 block of E. 7th Street regarding a grand theft report. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim who stated two French Bulldog puppies had been stolen from their residence.  Through their investigation, officers determined a male suspect entered the property, removed the puppies from the kennel, and fled the scene.

Over the last few days, officers and detectives have worked tirelessly to follow all leads and identify suspects who were attempting to sell the puppies. Through their efforts, detectives successfully found both puppies and returned them to their family. The first puppy was recovered Friday evening and the second puppy was recovered this morning.

The following individuals were arrested:

  • Kevin Holloway, a 19-year-old resident of Long Beach, was booked for burglary, grand theft of an animal, and possession of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $50,000.
  • Juan Sanchez Medina, an 18-year-old resident of Long Beach, was booked for burglary, grand theft of an animal, and possession of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $50,000.

Thank you to our personnel who worked so hard to find these pups and get them home.
