LBPD INVESTIGATES RECENT PHARMACY ROBBERIES

We are actively investigating multiple pharmacy robberies that occurred on 1/22/2024. During one incident, prescription drugs were taken during a delivery. During the other incidents, the suspects entered the pharmacy, jumped over the counter, and took prescription medication. No weapons were seen during any of the robberies. At this time, it is not known if these incidents are related.
Detectives are investigating the following:
- 1/22/24 about 10:50 a.m. - 3575 Atlantic Avenue – As a delivery truck driver was preparing to unload a shipment of prescription medication, four male Black suspects told the driver not to move, causing the driver to fear for their safety. The suspects proceeded to enter the truck and take the prescription medication. The suspects fled the scene in a white colored sedan. No weapon was used or seen. The investigation is ongoing.
- 1/22/24 about 2:58 p.m. - 2340 East Pacific Coast Highway - Three male Black suspects entered the pharmacy. Two suspects jumped over the counter and stole prescription drugs. The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan. During the robbery, one suspect grabbed his waistband as if he was armed. No weapon was seen. The investigation is ongoing.
- 1/22/24 about 7:10 p.m. - 6000 Atlantic Avenue - Two male Black suspects entered the pharmacy, jumped over the counter, causing the employees to fear for their safety, and stole prescription drugs. They were last seen running away on foot. No weapon was used or seen. The investigation is ongoing.
